Zillow at Render ATL 2024

The Goal

Zillow sought to amplify its brand and attract tech industry talent at Render ATL, a premier tech conference known for fostering inclusivity and innovation. As the #1 sponsor of the conference, Zillow aimed to:

  • Connect with minority groups in tech to support diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
  • Build brand awareness among the tech community.
  • Recruit top talent through on-site interviews and engagement opportunities.

Our Approach

We partnered with Zillow to create an exhibit that served as a dynamic platform to engage the Render ATL community. Understanding their emphasis on diversity and inclusion, as well as the need to create an impactful experience, we designed a strategy that integrated brand storytelling, interactive spaces, and targeted recruitment opportunities.

ENVISIONING

Ideation & Scope of Work: Our vision for Zillow’s presence at Render ATL centered on creating a 40x40-foot exhibit space that felt like stepping into a modern, inviting apartment. The design was guided by three key principles:

  1. Immersive Brand Experience: We envisioned a space that blended Zillow’s mission of “reimagining real estate” with an engaging, community-centered environment. Each “room” featured interactive activations, including branded arches and visual touchpoints that reinforced Zillow’s identity.
  2. Strategic Recruitment: The space included designated areas for talent acquisition, such as interview zones and networking lounges, to facilitate meaningful connections with attendees.
  3. Scalability: The exhibit showcased our capability to execute Zillow’s vision at any scale, blending creative innovation with logistical precision.

EXECUTING

Production Manual & Reconciliation: To bring the vision to life, we developed a comprehensive production manual and executed the project in alignment with Render ATL’s high standards. Key features included:

  • Custom Construction: We built an exhibit that featured multiple “rooms”, each with a unique activation. From a living room-style lounge to a swag station, attendees could explore Zillow’s offerings in a personalized setting.
  • Iconic Branding: Huge branded arches and Zillow logos were placed throughout the space to ensure maximum visibility and brand recognition.
  • Interactive Elements: Attendees enjoyed Zillow swag giveaways, photo ops, and engaging experiences designed to spark conversations and interest in Zillow’s mission.
